St. Paul's is excited to announce that you can now manage your giving online! Giving online is easy and allows you to set up automatic recurring contributions and view your complete online giving history from anywhere you have access to the Internet.
Howdy y’all!
It is the time of the year again! We as session and Stewardship Committee are reaching out to you to faithfully consider your giving for 2020. Usually we have our Consecration Sunday in October. But this year we are combining our Giving to the General Fund/Building Fund and our giving commitment to our Fundraiser Campaign “Remodeling for the future: to one big event on November 3rd. It is a day of Consecration of our gifts and celebration of our desire to walk courageously into the future.
There is a lot to celebrate: not only our financial support. When I look around and see how you all as St. Paul’s are engaged in the ministries we do, willing to do even more to raise the funds for the remodeling, always willing to walk a little bit further than necessary to change, reach out and get things done, I am amazed and so grateful to be part of this wonderful time. Of course, I see the reservations and hesitations as well. But those keep us grounded to make the right and carefully considered decisions we need to do. Everything that leads into a future unknown is exciting and frightening at the same time. But this is okay. This is how it should be.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Paul says to the congregation: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
Our Prayer team wrote two prayers for us to pray, individually at home and in groups at the church. The spiritual support is as important as the financial and volunteer support. So, I ask you to become prayer warrior for our cause. (Please find those two prayers below) Let us rejoice, celebrate and pray together! So that all we ask in prayer it will be given to us.

Gracious God, freely we have received of your blessings, so freely we give in return (Matthew 10:8). First, we give ourselves to You, and then we give gratefully, generously, and joyfully (2 Corinthians 8). We share what we have out of gratitude for your grace in Jesus Christ and for those who have gone before us. These men and women of extraordinary commitment laid the foundation of faith and, literally, the foundation and structure of our Fellowship Hall. This, in turn, has provided us with warm, loving, and numerous gatherings, as well as classrooms for Christian learning and growth in our faith.
Now, O Lord, the baton is passed to us for continuing the race to update and renovate for this generation, which will not only serve our members, but also reach out to the community. Help us to be faithful stewards in the challenging endeavor to fulfill this vision for St. Paul’s. Help us truly to search our hearts as we reach deeply and daringly into our pocketbooks, as we are able, to give generously from the first fruits. Through Jesus Christ, the generous, sacrificial Giver, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen. |
Almighty and Gracious Father, we are blessed with all the gifts you have given us. You have chosen wonderful people to head up the Leadership Teams for St. Paul’s Fundraising Campaign. Everyone has certain talents, and these talents are used as gifts to accomplish our tasks. For we know, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights.....” (James 1: 17).
Please be with these Leadership Teams to help them realize the gifts they have to offer. We ask you to give them guidance and support as they employ their ideas for the upcoming project we face. We love you and seek you for strength and confidence that we desire in the upcoming months. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. |
